쪽지보냈는데 몇개 깜빡했네요;;
요약하면 미국게임업체에서 일하려면 뛰어난 영어실력과 뛰어난 기술이 있어야 합니다. 이 두개가 갖춰지면 입사지원서를 낼수도 있는거고 미국 대학원에 진학하여서 관련 프로젝트를 수행하며 입사할수도 있습니다.

How do I get a job at Blizzard?

If you find a job opening that you think you qualify for, then send your resume, cover letter and other materials to the address on our site. Good luck! Do you have any Summer Jobs or Internships? Usually, we do not have such positions open. Typically, we are looking for people who are available for full time employment here in Irvine, California. For possible internships, please refer to our website for updates. What are you guys looking for in terms of a Demo Reel? The Reels should be on VHS (NTSC) not Beta or CD. The length of your reel should be limited to 5 minutes and consist of work that you're most proud of, starting with your most recent work. Please only put your best stuff on your demo. Sending us doodles from 5th grade will not help you. Music is nice, but understand that your talent as an artist is what gets you an interview, so please concentrate on the visual display and not your musical score. Please also remember to include a credit list explaining what you did on your reel (scene by scene) and what software was used to achieve the effects. How do I get a job as a Designer? Game Design positions are rarely available. Your best shot at becoming a Game Designer for Blizzard is to first get a job as a 3D Level Designer. Level Design shows many of the skills that are needed for Game Design. I make great StarCraft Maps, how do I get a job as a Map Designer? StarCraft Maps are fun to make and are cool to play! However, StarCraft maps and Warcraft II Puds are no longer used in development. Blizzard Map/Level Designers work on upcoming projects that require a new range of 3D skills. The best way to be considered for a 3D Level Design position is to play a 3D game that has an editor. You can then create some cool levels and submit them for consideration along with your resume. What do I need to know to become a programmer for Blizzard? Blizzard has several different programming positions available. These range from our Battle.net Programmers to our Game and 3D programmers. All of these positions require an extensive understanding of C and C++. Once you have a solid foundation in this area, other skills can be acquired. Please refer to our website for other requirements. I want to work for Blizzard, but I am from a foreign nation. If you are not a United States Citizen, you will need a Visa to work here in California. A four-year degree and/or work experience can certainly help you acquire a Visa. What if the position I want is not being advertised? If the position is not on the job site, then it is simply not available at this time. When there is a new job opening, it will show up on the Job site that very day, so keep checking back with us! How do I become a game tester? Can I do it from home? Game Testers are initially hired on as temporary employees that must be local to the Southern California area. All game testers are required to work from our testing facility in Irvine, California. Do you contract out your Audio Design? Currently we are doing all of our Audio work In-House, as we have a full time, permanent Sound team that handles all of our Audio Design and Composition. If you are interested in a full time Sound position or possible Contract work, please check our Job Site for any future openings. What does it mean if I have submitted my resume, but I have not heard from you? Our review process can be quite extensive, so please allow us two to three weeks for us to make a decision on your application. 우선 유학생도 들어갈수 있습니다. 제가 미국에서 대학교를 다니는데 아는 누나 선배(유학생)가 블리자드에 입사하셨습니다. 과는 공대는 아니였구요. 미국에서 공대쪽으로 알아보세요 저도 공대쪽인데 많은 같은과 친구들이 게임업게에 종사하려고 하더라고요. 참고로 저희 과 (선배라고 해야하나?) 애들이 모탈컴뱃 만들었습니다. 한국에서 고등학교를 진학중이시다면 우선 꿈이 확실하시다면 최대한 빨리 부모님께 미국유학을 말씀들여 보세요. 지금 오셔도 같은나이 애들은 (유학생들) 님보다 1~2학년 낮추어서 오기ㄸㅒ문에 빨리오시는게 좋아요. 과를 정하시고요 그다음에 커뮤니티 칼리지(2년제 단과대학) 거기가셔서 우선 필수과목을 를 가는겁니다 (그쪽 상담원과 상담하셔서 가시고싶은 대학과 과를 말하시면 들어야하는 필수과목을 말해줍니다)2년동안 죽도록 공부하시는 겁니다. 그이후에 4년제로 대학을 옮기셔서 (토플과 2년제 대학의 성적표만 봅니다. 고등학교때꺼나 대학진학(SAT,ACT)을 위한 시험은 보지 않습니다. 나머지 2년을 마치시는겁니다. 이게 가장 싸고 알뜰한 방법이죠.(미국유학 가정) 4년제로 가시는것도 있지만 유학생 보통 한학기에 제학교같은경우는 1학기에 2천만원정도 하니깐 너무 쓸데없다고 생각합니다. 저도 후회하고 있어요.흑흑.;; 그후에 빵빵한 원서를 가지고 계시다면 블리자드에 취직하시는것은 그렇게 어렵지 않으실껍니다.
